HONG KONG – Most people live in their hometowns for the rest of their lives, but “expatriates” or “expats” live in a country which is not their own. Some expats leave their countries to work in another one, but this might not be applicable to a man whose life has been through five different countries.
A young-looking executive dressing casually in sportswear started brewing a cup of handmade traditional Chinese tea in a living room in his flat located nearby the MTR Olympic station in Kowloon, Hong Kong. He is one of many expats living in this busy city.
He is now 34 years old but still looks young and energetic. His name is Jimmy Hsiesh from Taiwan. He is a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley, a global financial services firm headquartered in New York City in the US.
